NPC Patient from Indonesia Begins Life-Saving Treatment in Guangzhou

Mr. Wijaya from Indonesia was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) earlier this year. Faced with limited treatment options in his home country, his family turned to Guangzhou for advanced care. However, the language barrier, complex procedures, and long waiting times were major concerns.

Through Boji Medical Consultation, Mr. Wijaya was connected to a senior oncologist specializing in head and neck cancers at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. A remote video consultation was arranged, during which the specialist reviewed Mr. Wijaya’s MRI and biopsy reports, confirmed the stage, and recommended a combined approach of intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and targeted chemotherapy.

Boji’s team then coordinated his VIP fast-track admission, arranged a dedicated medical escort fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, and took care of visa invitation letter assistance, hotel booking, and airport transfer.

Within 10 days of arriving in Guangzhou, Mr. Wijaya commenced his treatment plan.
